* Simulation models: representations enable you to reach a high degree of detail of the system under study. Greatly facilitate decision making through analysis such as what would happen if ...?

The main difficulty in solving logistical problems is that every time you take a decision on a particular variable, must be taken which will be the scope of the decision, not only in terms of system response, but also how they affect other variables closely related to the initial. From a formal point of view, the difficulty in using computer systems to assist decision-making occurs in the large number of variables involved, the interactions between them and even conflicting interests that often have conflicting . Able to respond to location problems productive and logistic centers, such as: Where should facilities be? How should we design the transmission or distribution of the stores? Are some logistical problems for which no standard software packages that can give the answer that the industry needs.
Digital simulation is a computer mimic the behavior of a system under certain operating conditions. This requires formalizing "Building the model based on the syntax of a simulation language, the knowledge we have of the system to be simulated by logical relations, and symbolic mathematics. The knowledge gained in the development phase of the simulation model provides a good basis to suggest changes, most likely to generate benefits in overall system performance.
Once you have a correct model, it can be used to analyze and evaluate how certain changes affect system performance, both in its organization and management policies of shares, before such changes are applied the real system. Experiments in digital simulation environments can also gain a better understanding of the interactions enter different decision variables from observation of the results obtained to cause changes in the parameters of the model.
